Who is Norma?
Education Prior to entering the mental health field, Norma studied at both
Middlesex County College in New Jersey and Parsons School of Design in New York, where she received her education and training in radiology and design respectively.
In 1993, Norma received her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Rhode Island College. Striving for excellence, Norma graduated Summa Cum Laude and was a member of the Alpha Delta Mu National
Honorary Social Work Society. During her studies at Rhode Island College, Norma completed her internship and training at Newport Hospital as a medical social worker.
Furthering her education, Norma received her Master of Social Work from Boston University in 1995 where she graduated in the top percentile of her class. She completed her psychiatric social work
training at Butler Hospital in Providence. Qualifications and Experience As a social worker, Norma has had vast experience in the mental health profession. She has supervised other MSW clinicians who
required two years of supervised work to qualify for their states licensure. Norma has also been on staff at several agencies, both in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.She commenced private practice in 1999.Norma is a member of the National Association of Social Work.
